Car Washer / Lot Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Car Washer/Lot Attendant to join our team at Doherty's Truck & Auto Rental. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our rental truck fleet, ensuring vehicles are in top condition for customer use. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently, stay on their feet for extended periods, and provide excellent service to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and wash the interior and exterior of rental trucks and vehicles.

• Vacuum vehicle interiors to remove dirt, debris, and dust.

• Polish and shine vehicle surfaces to maintain a professional appearance.

• Clean windshields and other windows to ensure clear visibility for drivers.

• Refuel trucks by driving them to the gas station as needed.

• Collect and record vehicle information (e.g., mileage, condition) upon customer return.

• Assist with occasional delivery of rental vehicles to customers or designated locations.

• Perform basic lot maintenance tasks to keep the area organized and tidy.

• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and meets company quality standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, verified by a Driver License Information Record (INF 1125).

• Ability to work on your feet for long periods in various weather conditions.

• Self-directed with strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle cleaning techniques and products (preferred but not required).

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions independently.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally (e.g., cleaning equipment or supplies).

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
