Job Summary
Winery on Main Street in Polson is looking to hire a new tasting room bartender. This position requires bartending or server experience. Sales and management experience is a big plus.
The tasting room bartender would be in charge of holding wine tastings at the winery every Friday from 10:30am-4:30pm, special events and festivals. Work will include opening and closing tasks, running a register, greeting customers, conducting tastings/ pouring flights, helping customers fill orders, cleaning, restocking and washing dishes.
Must have good people skills and love working with the public. Must be friendly, responsible, reliable and have good salesmanship. This position would be part time and pay will be negotiable to the right person. Plus tips.

Responsibilities
- Performing opening/closing tasks
- Learning the wines/ being able to present and explain them during tastings
- Taking orders and pouring wine flights or by the glass
- Putting together Charcuterie Boards
- Help/guiding customers in purchases
- Operating iPad/ Square Checkout/register.
- Checking ID’s and recognizing when a customer has had too much to drink
- Performing basic cleaning skills and washing glasses
- Stocking bottles and supplies as needed
- Representing the winery’s brand professionally and enthusiastically
- Maintaining satisfactory attendance, including being on time to work
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and making recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently; perform basic retail math as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in bartending or related roles within the food industry is preferred.
- retail sales, manager and hospitality experience is a plus
- Required to work Fridays and be flexible with scheduling for special events and festivals
- Required to be 21 years of age or older
- Required to be able to lift/move a full case of wine
- Required to be able to stand for up to 5 or more hours
- Knowledge of food handling practices and health regulations
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $12.32 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7 – 14 per week
