POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate is a mid-level position in the Investment Banking division. Their main responsibility is to support senior bankers in executing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt offerings, and other corporate finance activities. This job involves conducting financial analyses, preparing marketing materials, managing due diligence processes, and communicating with clients and other stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conducting financial analyses such as discounted cash flow (DCF) and comparable company analysis (CCA) to evaluate potential transactions.
- Preparing marketing materials such as pitch books, teasers, and offering memorandums to present to clients and investors.
- Managing due diligence processes by coordinating with legal, accounting, and other advisors to identify and address potential risks and issues.
- Communicating with clients, investors, and other stakeholders to provide updates on transaction progress and address any concerns or questions.
- Supporting senior bankers in managing the overall deal process, including negotiating terms and conditions with counterparties.
- Partner with senior banking team members to build financial models and prepare presentation materials and other deliverables for investment banking clients.
- Serve as a key resource working closely with Vice Presidents and Managing Directors to create client deliverables and meet ad-hoc client requests.
- Lead due diligence sessions for clients.
- Play a key role supporting origination, evaluating opportunities, and executing deals, working on a broad scope of assignments and products across multiple sectors.
- Prepare client presentations and final work products.
- Perform industry and company research.
- Assist in coordinating information flow and execution with product groups.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support the valuation of companies and assist in the pricing of transactions.
- Create marketing materials, including pitch books and offering memoranda, to support the marketing and distribution of transactions.
- Conduct market and industry research to identify potential clients and market trends.
- Participate in managing relationships with clients, including attending client meetings and providing support to senior team members.
- Participate in the due diligence process by reviewing financial statements and conducting research on potential risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of transaction documents, including term sheets, purchase agreements, and other legal documentation.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including legal, accounting, and other advisors, to execute transactions.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Required Licensure: FINRA licenses 63, 86, and 87.
Required Experience, Skills, and/or Knowledge:
- Minimum 3 plus years of Investment Banking experience
- Experience with executing IPOs, follow on and shelf offerings and PIPEs a plus
- Excellent technology skills with superior Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Professional maturity and experience to interact with senior bankers
- Demonstrate strategic and creative thinking and distinguished communication skills
- Ability to manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
- Strict attention to detail with demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Should possess interest and understanding of financial markets, aptitude to learn, and demonstrated history of strong academic performance and professional drive
- Strong public speaking skills and comfortable with leading large group conference calls

WORKPLACE LOCATION
- Our team operates out of our beautiful offices on Madison Avenue in New York City. This role requires daily presence in the office as well as at client offices for meetings, events, etc.
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS
- Requires some flexibility in scheduling, such as the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet client deliverables.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires ability to travel locally by car/public transportation, as well as regular domestic trips involving air travel for multi-night stays.
