Assistant Engineering Manager

A prestigious luxury resort in the Caribbean is seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Engineering Manager to join its dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Director of Engineering and Engineering Manager in overseeing all aspects of resort maintenance and facility operations.

• Lead a team of skilled technicians in delivering timely and high-quality repairs, preventative maintenance, and engineering support across the property.

• Ensure all work meets safety, regulatory, and brand standards.

• Collaborate closely with other departments to maintain the resort’s impeccable condition and support seamless guest experiences.

• Participate in budgeting, project planning, and daily departmental operations.

• Step in as the acting manager in the absence of senior engineering leadership.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of engineering or maintenance experience within a luxury hotel or resort setting.

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is required.

• Caribbean or tropical climate experience strongly preferred.

• Strong hands-on technical skills in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities; able to work collaboratively with a multicultural team.

• Flexible and adaptable with a solutions-focused mindset.

Package Includes:

• $48,000 USD Net Annual Salary

• Average of $1,600 USD per month in service charge (11 months/year)

• Housing provided (shared 2-bed/2-bath or private 1-bedroom unit depending on availability)

• Monthly transportation allowance of $250 USD

• Payroll tax covered by employer; candidate responsible for local social security/NHI contributions (approx. $300/month)
