The Coordinator of Matchday Presentation will assist in the preparation, planning and activation of all DC United and DC Power FC matchday, DC United events and sports events at Audi Field.
Essential Functions, Duties And Responsibilities
- Attend all home DC United and Power FC matches and at events in the community and region, year-round.
- Assist in the match experience planning and execution of every DC United home matchday.
- Assist in the planning and execution of each of DC United theme matches.
- Book and manage national anthem singers, performers, color guards and military honorees for home matches.
- Assist in the planning and execution of stadium content for all displays for home matches.
- Coordinate with the partnership marketing team on sponsor title night plans and activations.
- Collaborate with marketing department on effective promotions of marketing programs for in-stadium promotion.
- Work with match presentation specific vendors on special effects.
- Support the Matchday Presentation team in creating a best-in-class stadium experience inside the stadium bowl as well as our other activation spaces.
- Contribute to oversight of the department’s project management system.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all departmental and Club goals are being met.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Director, Matchday Presentation.
- Meet and coordinate movements for national anthem or any other performers during the matchday.
- Execute matchday script through an on-field role connected to the in-stadium production team.
- Support match presentation team with pre-game and half-time initiatives.
- Perform all other duties as assigned, to ensure workload coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or sports management preferred.
- One (1) - two (2) years’ experience within the fields of sports or event management.
- Excellent organizational, written, interpersonal and verbal skills.
- Knowledgeable, innovative, and creative as it relates to events.
- Prior experience with event production, promotions and/or game presentation preferred.
- Highly organized with proven time management skills and experience creating efficient systems to juggle multiple projects.
- Interest, experience, and ability to negotiate with vendors and partners.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle multiple assignments.
- Fluency to speak, read, and write in the English language.
- Spanish fluency preferred, but not required.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
- Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
