JOB SUMMARY
The D.C. United Camps Director will oversee the operation of the year-round camps and supplemental training programming. Duties include the development of camp curriculum, field scheduling, oversight of camp program staff and campers, along with all budgetary functions.
The purpose of these programs is to further the reach of the club into the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia market in both fan engagement and youth participation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a five-year strategic plan based on the club's goals / resources.
- Develop an annual plan including camp curriculum, scheduling, budget, registration, staff, equipment, and program promotions.
- Manage the allocated budget, as well as coordinate the ordering of camp equipment and supplies.
- Develop strategic relationships with local communities / organizations to help build the D.C. United Camps & Training programs.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure appropriate marketing and awareness programs are in place to meet organizational registration goals and increase program participation.
- Ensure safe practices and a healthy camp environment.
- Connect with ticketing / partnership / events on further opportunities for fan engagement.
- Represent D.C. United with top-class appearance and professionalism.
