We are a leading machine shop specializing in the high-precision manufacturing of parts for various industries, and we’re looking for a Lapping and Polishing Specialist to join our team. If you have experience working with specialty metals, including Molybdenum, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lapping and polishing small diameter holes, chamfers, radii, and flat surfaces with high precision.
- Achieving mirror finishes and tolerances inside of 0.2 µm for both polishing and lapping.
- Perform Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) to achieve superior finishes and ensure perfect surface quality.
- Work with specialty metals, particularly Molybdenum, ensuring optimal results and consistency.
- Meet high standards of surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in lapping and polishing techniques in a machine shop environment.
- Strong understanding of Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP).
- Experience with Molybdenum or other specialty metals is preferred but not required.
- Ability to achieve mirror finishes and work within tight tolerances, especially under 0.2 µm.
