- Working in all aspects of large heavy/highway construction projects to include but not limited to Erosion Control, Sitework Utilities, Asphalt and Concrete work
- Municipality Projects, Private Projects, and Commercial Projects
- Collaborating with owner, contractors, and other project team members, to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility
- Leading the team through the estimating process
- Review plans, geotechnical reports, and specifications
- Visit project to understand site conditions/restrictions
- Coordinating with subcontractors & suppliers about the prospective projects
- Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Responsible for bidding the project and building the estimate in Bid 2 Win.
- Build a preliminary project schedule based on the information provided in the plans and specifications utilizing Project Management:
Qualifications
- Strong background in construction estimating and cost control
- Proficiency in using estimating software
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive bids
- Experience in construction site management and project management
- Familiarity with contracts and their implications in the construction industry
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
