We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team and contribute to the seamless operation and upkeep of our properties. This is a full-time position with significant opportunities for growth within the company.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that properties remain in excellent condition. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and landscaping.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies from tenants and community managers.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure all maintenance work meets company standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of work performed and materials used.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and equipment.
- Oversee repair projects, process work orders, and schedule necessary repairs and cleaning.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Dependable vehicle.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand and walk for extended periods, and navigate stairs frequently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to learn new technologies.
- A dependable smartphone for property directions, photos, and communication.
- Must be flexible with changing tasks and responsibilities as needed.
