Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Cleaner will play a vital role in ensuring that all areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for clients and employees alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in assigned areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through effective floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as required to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Execute custodial duties in both residential and commercial properties.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of buildings and grounds.
- Carry out porter duties which may include moving furniture or equipment as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly maintained.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and equipment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
