What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dealership Service Advisor position at D & D Transport Refrigeration Service?
Job Summary: Responsible for assisting the Service Manager with activities within the Service Department including increasing the sales revenue of labor and parts, scheduling of service work, communicating with customers about current work being performed, maintain customer service levels to earn future business, close all workorders after payment had been received within a timely manner, maintain technician job schedules, and process all service related warranties with vendors. Competitive wage based on experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Must have valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Physical/Environmental demands:
- Must be able to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended period of time
- Must be able to sit in company vehicle for extended period of time
- Must be able to work in all outside weather conditions occasionally, while loading and unloading trucks.
- Must be able to drive in all weather conditions, including winter driving.
- Must be able to climb ladder no higher than 15 ft.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.'

Responsibilities
1. Performs any/all tasks assigned by the Service Manager taking care to ensure the highest efficiency available without sacrificing quality.
2. Learn and use point of sales computer system to fullest capabilities
3. Attends or performs online Service Department Training Sessions.
4. Answers phones within 2 rings, using common greeting
5. Maintains accurate technician schedules, and make sure there is work for the technicians.
6. Maintains accurate report of all current, future and completed work orders.
7. Assists Customers with all services requests.
8. Assists with technician parts request forms.
9. Become familiar with and promote all available product lines for best customer service.
10. Upsell parts and service-related items to all customers.
11. Collects accounts receivable as necessary and closes out work orders in a timely manner.
12. Gathers all information needed as necessary to process vendor warranties and closes out work orders in a timely manner.
13. Be available for after-hours call back, as necessary.
