The effective and successful Heating & Cooling Journeyperson’s at D/E/F Services Group, Ltd is committed to advancing and continuing to master their craft with the goal of remaining a highly skilled and diversified Heating, Piping & Cooling Mechanical Journeyperson. The actively licensed S2 Journeyperson will be directly responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, replacement, and installation of various types of HVAC equipment and components ranging from residential and light commercial applications to large commercial and industrial applications.

Essential Traits for Success:
- Perform general labor and clean-up as requested, or as needed
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain warm air systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, etc.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, measuring devices, etc.
- Inspect heating & cooling systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair to ensure compatibility and safety
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, aerial lifts, drills, and hand tools.
- Maintain working knowledge of current and future HVAC technologies and fuel sources including air, gas, and oil with an ability to cross-train on several types of equipment.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain HVAC systems, piping, or other related equipment
- Pull pipe or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed or open areas, large tools, and be very comfortable working with your hands.
- Receive, properly store job site materials for effective job site coordination
Heating, Piping, Cooling S1 / S2 Journeyperson Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to consistently follow written processes and procedures
- Excellent mathematical skills are preferred
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to stand, lift, maneuver weights that may exceed 50lbs.
- Strong verbal communication skills
Education, Licensing & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active Connecticut S1, S2, D1, or D2 Journeyperson’s License, required
- Current OSHA 10 Certification is preferred
- Active Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
