Machine Operator
POSITION PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Foreman and President, the Operator operates machines to manufacture a variety of parts and details to close tolerances and finish requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain production by keeping the machines loaded with the proper material, following in process inspection protocols, making periodic adjustments to keep parts in tolerance.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work from drawings specifications and job layouts
- Use a variety of measuring instruments proficiently to verify part specifications
- Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
- Operate machine, observe operations, check dimensions and adjust as needed
- Operate multiple machines
- Feed raw material into machines
- Lubricate machines as needed with oil, grease, and coolant
- Modify parts and materials to improve overall production
- Inspect completed parts
- Must be quality conscious and continuously look for quality improvements
- Read and interpret blueprints
REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
· High School Diploma or G.E.D.
· Machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred for this position
· Maintain clean and orderly work area, including equipment and perform all assignments in safe manner
· Exhibit core values of care, honesty, integrity, respect, and responsibility
· Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
· Ability to work at established levels of production
· Ability to lift and carry of up to 50 pounds safely
· Regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, crouch and kneel
· Vision requirements include (corrective and non) close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth and ability to adjust focus
· Comply with all company, safety and quality policies and procedures
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Exposure to moderate noises
