Cybersecurity Specialist Job Description Summary :
- D&G is seeking a highly talented Cyber Security Specialist who will be part of a multi-functional team supporting the Defense Logistics Agency R&D Applied Research & Testing Emergency Technologies (ARTET) Program. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the Department of Defense in early-stage adoption of emerging and disruptive technologies. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a part of a team responsible for piloting and prototyping innovative logistics research solutions to sustain warfighter readiness and lethality.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Analyzing cyber security requirements, technologies, risks, or issues.
Participates in design of solutions, defenses, or mitigation approaches.
Provides independent assessment overview of the implementation policy and procedures.
Provides analysis of security vulnerabilities identifying recommendations.
Provides support to all Incident Response and Risk and Vulnerability Assessment areas
Requirements :
A Master’s degree with 7 years’ experience.
Must possess a current CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification
CE Certification for applicable cloud or be capable of obtaining certification at time of award.
7 years of work experience in Cyber Security with relevant experience in scientific, engineering or technical discipline
5-7 years of experience in the following
Running diagnostic tests and analyze data to spot threats to computer systems
Developing firewalls and other security measures to safeguard systems
Making recommendations regarding software and hardware that can strengthen information storage and security records
Staying up to date on the newest viruses and malware being used by cybercriminals
Aiding in the development and implementation of best practices that employees can follow to reduce the risk of data theft
Installing and maintaining antivirus software and systems
Responding to data threats to limit data loss and retake control of the system
Writing reports outlining the finding of diagnostic tests and explaining the events of cyber-attacks when they occur.
Eligibility Requirements :
Secret Government Clearance.
Certifications : DoD 8570 IAT Level II
