What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator - Cross-dock facility position at D&G Transportation, Inc.?
$18-$20 per hour
D&G Transportation is a refrigerated and frozen LTL carrier, supplying the US with essential foods. We are currently in need of highly motivated forklift operators who are interested in an exciting opportunity to work with our warehouse team in cross-dock operations. This is a rotation shift, working days mid-week, and evenings at end of the week as we require the trailers to be loaded. The hours are alternate weeks from Tue - Fri to Wed - Sat. Hours will be further discussed during your interview.
This position involves working in a temperature controlled warehouse environment. Refrigerated trailers are loaded and unloaded in accordance with product temp and scheduled appointments. Primary responsibilities include the following:
- Forklift operation
- Be able to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product accurately
- Interpret bills of lading and be detail oriented.
- Material Handling - Lifting and sorting packages up to 50 lbs.
