Summary
The Staff Accountant assumes responsibility for various accounting functions such as recording journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger account analysis and reporting, and the monthly close process.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Journal Entries
- General ledger account reconciliations.
- General ledger account analysis and reporting.
- Quick resolution of accounting questions.
- Monitor accounting policies and procedures as it pertains to the job.
- Special Projects as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Keeps work area neat, clean and hazard free.
- Must work in other areas, as needed for cross training and/or workload.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Excel proficiency, Access a plus.
- Skilled in working with computers and automated accounting systems (Microsoft AX a plus).
- Deliver quality results in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Ability to handle multiple high priority projects with accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organization.
- Ability to use experience, sound judgment and resourcefulness to solve problems.
- Self-starter, goal and detail oriented with a high level of energy.
- High degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask and provide accurate and timely information.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Required bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience in a professional environment.
- In depth knowledge of accrual accounting concepts, journal entries and analysis.
