Project Coordinator

- Support our company by overseeing all contracted and T&M jobs of all sizes and complexities
- Process and track all project paperwork
- Help generate bid packages for public bids
- Assist with Bid Packages, request bonds, and transferring paperwork/information from estimating to job cost
- Communicate regularly with the VP of Operations & the Project Managers
- Set up & maintain all projects on the computer server
- Issue, Track & obtain subcontractors
- Create & submit invoices
- Update change orders for customers & subcontractors
- Create & distribute activity reports, monthly contract reports, & change order reports

D.H. Funk & Sons is a family-owned and operated excavating & paving contractor. We are looking for a Project Coordinator to process and maintain all the information related to the lifecycles of each project. This would require a high level of organization, efficiency, & excellent communication skills. Our Ideal Project Coordinator:
- Experienced: Have 3 years of experience in construction or excavation OR an associate’s degree in a related field OR a 4-year degree in accounting or business management without construction/excavation experience. Understand the Construction Sequence Process & experience in a support role or customer service. Notary training is a plus.
- Computer: Proficient in Microsoft Office & able to learn construction/accounting software.
- Organized: Detail-oriented and focused on precision. Has the ability to maintain project paperwork accurately.
- Productive: Able to prioritize an extensive task list, constantly aware of and striving to meet deadlines. A mindset of continuous improvement – how can we do this better and faster?
- Team-Oriented: Honest, humble & friendly. Collaborative. Enjoys being part of a team and working with others to build relationships.
- Clear Communicator: We value clear communication on our team. You will be working closely with the project managers & leadership explaining details and changes to each project. Professionalism and a positive attitude reinforce the dynamic & values of our mission statement.
- Active: Able to sit for extended periods of time typing, filing, bending, etc. Can lift up to 20 pounds. Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Innovative: Someone who owns their job & will bring ideas to the company for support and training.
- Conscientious: Ability to understand & follow written and oral instructions with a willingness to learn and grow into your position.
