What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician-2nd Shift position at D & H Industries Inc?
The Quality Control Technician ensures that products are meeting customer requirements at each stage of the manufacturing process. The QCT performs quality audits, inspects parts, conducts analysis, reports findings, and assists with root cause analysis. THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION.
- Works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality Assurance staff to develop, define and document product test requirements.
- Develops test requirements to ensure business requirements, customer requirements, and potential known or unknown issues will be analyzed through the inspection process.
- Assists in continuous testing to detect issues and ensure requirements are met prior to production release. Utilizes production part approval process (PPAP), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), control plans, etc.
- Identifies issues and works to resolve issues/problems.
- Works closely with manufacturing to conduct first piece, in-process and final inspections the standards defined by customer, blueprint and/or control plan. Conducts supplier initial inspection and nonconforming product disposition. If needed, establishes and/or performs repair and rework activities.
- Raw material and finished goods handling.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, plug and height gauges) and remains current on the products, tools and processes utilized in the quality assurance process.

Requirements:- Associate's Degree in a technical field preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Two years experience in quality/CMM programming within a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Excellent math and analytical skills.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Intermediate knowledge of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
