DH Pace Company, Inc. is searching for an IT Security Technician to join our team in Olathe, KS! The IT Security Technician will be responsible for performing independent systems analysis and review of applications to identify network safety issues and provide incident responses and remediation of threats and vulnerabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Independently monitor and analyze all security and network-related events, including security logs, network traffic, and security breaches. Perform root cause analysis where appropriate and resolve internal IT tickets that involve security-related requests from end-users.
- Remediate and report vulnerabilities through researching, analyzing risk, and reporting such to Senior IT Management. Work with 3rd party Security Operations Center as warranted.
- Train end-users on security best practices and standards.
- Provide input and assist in implementing Company policies and procedures regarding network security and safety. Monitor and ensure compliance with Company standards and policies as needed.
- Provide input and assist in implementing new security products and technologies.
- Perform additional network administration tasks as defined and requested by IT management.
- Ability to work additional hours as required.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Prefer two years’ college or technical degree with at least one (1) full year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Need to be able to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
