Light Duty Construction Technician

Light Duty Construction Technician will assist in the installation of fueling systems including: Installing underground and aboveground tanks, installing fuel dispensers, cleaning and replacing spill containment systems, busting and removal of concrete, piping, electrical wiring, excavating, and other petroleum related work. This is a remote position in many different locations around the country. Must be able to travel.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct work on construction projects, concrete removal and replacement, manhole and spill containment replacements
• Framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing small portions of concrete
• Operate equipment such as company work truck, skid steers, forklift, man-lift following all equipment and company safety protocols
• Ensure safe housekeeping practices are followed at all times, including job cleanup at the end of each day
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure all are in proper and safe working order
• Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements
• Create and maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain a timely flow of supplies, materials and sub-contractor work

What We Are Looking For:

• Install License is required.
• Previous experience installing petroleum systems, or performing fuel polishing is a huge Plus
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working in construction or trades is required - Concrete experience is required
• Class A CDL and Heavy equipment operation experience is preferred. Will assist in getting Class A CDL.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is a huge PLUS
• Troubleshooting skills/logical problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and customer relations skills

Other Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
• Pass Background check, drug test and DOT card (required)
