Summary/Objective
The QMS Specialist is responsible for supporting a myriad of Quality & Food Safety initiatives. The QMS Specialist promotes the plant’s Quality Management Program, conducts internal and supplier audits, oversees Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) tracking and works on special projects.

- Contribute to the plant’s Quality Management System.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits.
- Assist with CAPA for plant non-conformance sources.
- Conduct trending analysis of internal audit non-conformances and other metrics.
- Organize quality files and documentation.
- Participate on HACCP & FSMA committee teams.
- Support Quality and Food Safety initiatives in support of BRC and FSSC 22000 Certifications.
- Support customer requests as far as evaluation, capability analysis and integration.
- Assist in Document Control processes and maintaining the Master Document Database.
- Perform Manufacturing Record Review to ensure conformance to CCPs.
- Assist Product Traceability exercises.
- Assist the plant in writing and approving procedures.
- Participate in QM related meetings and trainings.
- Manage customer and supplier notifications.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.
- 3 years’ experience in food & beverage industry.
- 1 year of experience in laboratory environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 2 years’ experience working with quality systems (corrective and preventative action, document control, auditing) in a manufacturing environment
- 1 year experience working with ISO, BRC, GFSI on FSSC.
- Experience in internal auditing.
- Excellent communications, writing and presentation skills.
- SAP experience
