Job Responsibilities:
· As a Ship 1 Quoting Agent you will be responsible for interpreting finish requirements set forth by manufacturing documents, verifying project/customer requirements for any approved processors, review and orders packaging materials, and review handling requirements for order preparation upon PO creation. Our team supports several projects including flight, non-flight, and ground support projects, and requests quotes for processes from heat treatment, offload manufacturing, plating, painting, non-destructive and destructive testing, among many other processes.
· While filling this role it is expected that the Ship 1 Quoting Agents backfill where needed for our Ship 1 Purchasing Agents. While backfilling for this role, you will use the quotes received from applicable processors to create the outside process purchase order (OP PO) within the ERP system used by DJE. Ship 1 Purchasing Agents are expected to analyze available quotes and utilize this information to select a Vendor by weighing the project/customer requirements, lead times, and cost-effectiveness of each option.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Attention to Detail and Organization: A highly focused and attentive individual is required. Customer requirements, instructions, drawings, quality requirements, and internal procedure specifications must be thoroughly reviewed and implemented for success.
· Comprehension: The ability to read and interpret customer specifications and industry standards is a principal requirement of providing a compliant processing Purchase Order.
Requirements:
· Essential:
o High School/GED
o Must be ITAR compliant
o Ability to work in a fluid and high-energy environment that requires mainly computer-oriented work and shop support, when required
o At least 1 year Aerospace experience
o Demonstrate a basic knowledge of aerospace metal finishing processes
o At least 1 year of ERP system experience, Syteline preferred
o Basic knowledge of 2D and 3D data
o Effective computer skills including proficient typing and knowledge of Microsoft Office products; typically used: Outlook, Excel, and Word
o Basic math skills
o Work collaboratively within a team and with various departments
o Attention to detail
o Basic knowledge of measuring tool use; specifically, tape measures
· Preferred:
o Basic knowledge and use of 3D data software (e.g. CATIA, Creo files, LWG files, etc.)
o Ability to acquire and maintain forklift certification
o Ability to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
