Job Description
At D.L. Gasser Construction, we are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our road crew team as a laborer. This is a full-time seasonal position working from May through November (weather permitting). As a laborer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks such as job layout, shoveling, raking, sweeping, and traffic control along with operating small equipment like blowers, saws, compactors, and jack hammers.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform manual labor tasks on construction sites
• Assist in the operation of heavy equipment
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Work effectively in a team setting
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Previous construction or physical job experience preferred
• Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL), if required
• Physically fit to stand, squat, bend, lift, and walk for long durations in all seasonal weather and environmental conditions in a moving highway work zone
• Ability to listen and take direction from others while being a team player and helping to train less experienced employees
