Job Title: Maintenance Technician for Manufacturing Plant
Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery in a manufacturing plant. This includes performing routine maintenance and repairs, identifying and troubleshooting issues, and conducting preventative maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other members of the maintenance team and production staff to ensure optimal plant performance and uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance on plant equipment and machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection.
- Perform repairs and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, such as replacing filters, belts, and other wear components.
- Document maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure accurate records are kept.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment necessary to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team and production staff to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Recommend equipment upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in a relevant field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 48 per week
