What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Delivery Driver position at D&L Parts Company?
Description
This position is responsible for starting in Charlotte at the Distribution Center for the Freedom Courier side, loading our truck for your assigned route and taking a loaded box truck to multiple branch locations for our client. The truck must be unloaded and possibly reloaded at each stop. Currently, this is done with a 26' box truck. Individual lifting requirements up to 75lbs.
Responsibilities:
· Transfer parts between the Distribution Center and our clients locations
· Operate a box truck safely and confidently
· Loading/unloading trucks
· Handle parts and packages with care
· Sort shipments by route accurately and efficiently
· Other duties and responsibilities as necessary for the business or as requested by Management
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 5pm arrival time
Routes vary between 8-10 hour nights
***Box truck is owned by Freedom Courier, we are not looking for drivers with their own truck***
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Clean and valid driver’s license
· Clean drug test
· Good communication skills
· Stable work history
