Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Wipe down equipment
- Wipe down cabinets, shelves, countertops
- Wipe down baseboards
- Execute floor care duties such as sweeping and mopping to keep surfaces in optimal condition.
- Clean interior/exterior windows
- Wipe down furniture
- Wipe down light fixtures
- Carry out custodial duties including waste disposal, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Wipe down electrical outlets
- Remove trash and debris
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Knowledge of floor care practices including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management.
