Responsibilities:
- Safely and proficiently operate a mid range excavator on a pipe crew, installing sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water mains.
-Understand pipe crew operations
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout and depth of pipelines
- Locate utility lines using specialized equipment to avoid damage during excavation
- Figure grades and set up pipe laser and level transit
- Backfill trenches and restore the area to its original condition after pipeline installation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an excavator operator
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Knowledge of utility locating procedures to avoid damaging existing lines during excavation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in outdoor conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during pipeline installation
Skills:
- Digging trenches
- Heavy equipment operation (e.g., Wheel Loaders)
- Utility locating procedures
- Blueprint reading

Pay: Up to $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 55 per week
