Warehouse Assistant/Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Warehouse Assistant, you are responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, and delivering tools and materials. Deliveries are time sensitive and need to be done according to project schedules. Main duties include making the needed deliveries to job sites, organizing incoming stock, putting the appropriate labels on all items, working with the warehouse team on projects, and assisting with tracking the warehouse stock.
· Responsible for executive deliveries in a timely manner, with the appropriate vehicles.
· Responsible for identifying and labeling and loading materials, and tools into trucks for delivery.
· Work with project managers, purchasing, and foreman to ensure materials and tools are available and either labeled for pickup or delivered.
· Work closely with the warehouse team and operations to coordinate projects, inventory, and deliveries.
· Receiving and documenting materials for pickup, delivery, or return.
· Keeping an inventory log of materials and tools entering or exiting the warehouse.
· Identifying any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify the Project Manager.
· Ensuring that all the materials, tools, and equipment are safely and securely packed and labeled for pickup or delivery
· Determine the right vehicle and routes for the delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
· Work closely with operations to ensure Project Managers and Electricians have all the materials and equipment to successfully perform their job.
Skills and Qualifications:
· 2-3 years of work experience in driving roles
· Warehouse experience
· Driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to drive large non-CDL vehicles.
· DOT Medical card
· CDL (not required, however, it is a plus)
· Knowledge of the electrical or construction industry
· Knowledge of operating a forklift (certification or license is a plus)
· Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 80 pounds.
· Ability to work independently and safely.
· Strong organization and time management skills
· Applicants should have a high school diploma or a GED.
