What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Quality Inspector position at D & N Bending Corp?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications through thorough inspection and testing. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall quality of our products.
Duties:
- Perform inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests using various tools and equipment such as coordinate measuring machines, micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in quality systems
- Conduct quality audits to ensure adherence to established procedures and processes
- Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports for management review
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes
Schedule: M-F 6A-2:30P, every other Saturday 6A-12P. OT variable
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or coursework in quality is a plus- Experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and techniques
- Familiarity with quality management systems (IATF) and regulatory requirements
- Proficient in using measurement tools such as , micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
