The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all machinery, equipment and facilities to establish a clean environment for producing and packaging quality products.

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all machinery, equipment and facilities to establish a clean environment for producing and packaging quality products.
Essential Functions
- Performs routine cleaning and sanitation of plant machinery, equipment and facilities
- Performs plant sanitation in accordance with the plant Master Sanitation Schedule including overhead cleaning of pipes, ceilings, duct work, conduit, support structures and HVAC systems
- Performs all related operations and tasks needed for completing sanitation of scheduled equipment inlcuding jogging, disassembly and reassembly of equipment
- Utilizes powered cleaning equipment that may include powered lifts, scissors lifts, power washers, foam applicators, steamers, automatic compactors, motors and various non-mechanized equipment
- Responsible for mixin, handling and verification various chemical concentrates
- Completes all assigned daily reports at the end of each shift and delivers to Sanitation Coordinator
- Complies with established safety practices and performs all tasks in a safe manner while promoting a safe work environment
- Committed to providing a safe food product
- Works within all regulatory requirements
- Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements
- Perform all other related duties as required
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Average Mathematical Skills
- Skills and/or ability to gain knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industry standard cleaning procedures
- Basic knowledge of the function and operation of sanitation equipment
- Skills and/or ability to gain knowledge of the basic functions of all production equipment
- Attention to detail and a sense of urgency in matters of food safety required
- Must be able to freely move around entire facility
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work 2nd shift
