What are the responsibilities and job description for the Puller Day position at D Otani Produce Inc?
SUMMARY: Pull customer orders in a timely and efficient manner with emphasis on quality of products.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate within standard operating procedures(SOPS) and food defense program.
- Pull customer orders for delivery (boxing, labeling and shrink wrap each order).
- Memorization of each delivery route (customers on each rout and the produce each customer orders).
- Complete Pre-operation log each day (Inspection of the produce pulling area for cleanliness).
- Replenish cleanser and sanitizer containers daily.
- Clean and maintain work area and reefers which includes: cleaning and sanitizing the tables and scales, sweeping the floors and under the tables, turn off scales, remove trash bins.
- Clean and put equipment away at the end of the shift, i.e. wagons, baskets, brooms and dust pans, crates, boxes, etc.
- Other duties as assigned, i.e. running of produce, rotation of produce, cleaning of warehouse, etc.
KNOWELDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Produce knowledge preferred but not necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently required.
- Forklift certification a plus but will train.
- Ability to read pounds and tenth of pounds on a scale.
- Must be able to be on your feet for the entire shift.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to work in a refrigerated area, temperatures range from 35 to 55 degress Fahrenheit.
- Must wear smock, hairnet, safety toe shoes, and gloves in the warehouse and while pulling orders.
