Purpose / General Description :
Flatbed Driver is responsible for delivering products to customers in a safe and productive manner in all weather conditions while providing professional and courteous service to all customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Deliver and place items safely at job sites. Navigate area roads, understand order documents, maintain product knowledge, communicate with customers, secure loads.
- Maintain safety awareness : Follow all regulations from pre-trip to return, perform tasks in a safe manner, report issues and risks as discovered (near-miss).
- Understand all expectations for performance, company policies, procedures, and applicable work instructions for Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Housekeeping.
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment per DOT specifications, OSHA standards, and Fleet Maintenance requirements, Certification / Licensing is a requirement.
- Be an effective team member : Wear PPE consistently, work safely and ensure co-workers do as well, follow all policies and procedures, set an example of good behavior, assist co-workers as needed, work as a team to achieve the production schedule, cooperate with changes in the work hours, days, shifts.
- Complete all reporting and recordkeeping as required accurately and in a timely manner.

Employees must possess the ability to perform the essential job functions successfully and safely within the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and / or quantitative productivity standards. Employees must maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Employees are required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : scheduling repairs, data analysis and reporting. Prolonged periods of sitting in a vehicle are an essential part of this position.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
