Position: Middle School Math Interventionist, 2025-2026
Location: D.R Hill Middle School
Qualifications:
- A valid SC teaching certificate in Middle Level Math
- Minimum of five years’ classroom teaching experience in the areas of math
- A Bachelor’s degree is required
- Experience with Guided Math instructional model preferred
General Summary:
The interventionist will work extensively with students to increase student achievement in the areas of math based on individual data. He or she will work in collaboration with the general education teacher to identify specific areas for improvement, set goals and targets for individual student growth, create and implement an action plan, and monitor progress.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Works one-on-one or in small groups with students in the area of math
- Tailors and plan lessons based on individual student data
- Monitors student progress and adjust instruction according to needs
- Works closely with general education teachers to implement consistent strategies to support students in the classroom
- Maintains consistent communication with the general education teacher to share student data, progress, and necessary instructional adjustments
