D. R. Reynolds Company, Inc. is searching for a Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our team of strategic planners who manage and supervise multiple projects from start to finish. The Project Manager would assist our clients from concept development through the final acceptance. This role includes preparing estimates supporting the original proposals, creating and maintaining schedules of the day-to-day operations of projects with the assistance of site supervisors, while paying special attention to time and budgetary constraints. The Project Manager will have an understanding of the commercial construction business and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment are important for career success. Additional expected duties of the Project Manager would include negotiating contracts, obtain permits for a building site, and communicate with company leadership.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Prepare and support project cost models, initial schedules and quotes for new and existing clients
· Manage multiple job sites for both new and re-purposed job sites for Industrial and Commercial applications
· Create schedules for crew and ensure all projects are fully staffed for self-performing projects as well as subcontracted
· Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality standards are met
· Monitor and enforce safe and compliant working environment in accordance to OSHA regulations, and all applicable laws and site specific requirements as well as internal safety policies.
· Continuous improvement to ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met while using best practices to improve/increase efficiencies.
· Generate and present regular reports and reviews of estimates-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases.
· Oversees and coordinates team activities to ensure a safe, reliable, efficient, and effective operation.
· Coach and mentor employees as well as enforce company policies and procedures.
· Develop and maintain employee scheduling with site superintendent.
· Monitors staffing, overtime use and financial performance of assigned projects.
· Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures, and purchases.
Qualifications: Minimum requirement is an Associate degree or equivalent work experience directly related to the responsibilities and requirements of this position. At least five (5) years’ experience and in a supervisory capacity working for a commercial construction company. Procore software is a plus.
Position will be based out of the Winston Salem, NC location.
