Position Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving incoming materials, selecting, packaging, and shipping all spare part orders.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Process spare part order shipping transactions in SAP
- Perform goods receipts into SAP and put away materials into inventory
- Pull parts and issue to production orders
- Perform visual quality inspection on outbound goods
- Pull pick lists for spare part orders, work orders and site support as required
- Create necessary Customs documentation for shipments
- Load and unload shipments (inbound and outbound) as required
- Inform Supervisor of Inventory shortages and overages
- Utilize third party systems for outbound shipments (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.)
- Coordinate with Spare Part Sales personnel for expedited shipments
- Coordinate with accounting personnel in regard to spare part sales shipments and transactions
- General administrative tasks (filing, paperwork) as required
- Log serial numbers
- Create requisitions for shipping material requirements
- Use Inventory reports for processing backorders
- Organize parts in the job staging area until parts need to be shipped to an outside manufacture or directly to the job site
- Package and process materials for shipment
- Maintain inventory crib cleanliness, organization, and a safe working environment
- Some heavy lifting required
Nonessential Functions:
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required
- 3 or more years or relevant working experience preferred
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Good time management skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to effectively communicate with team
- Able to work well independently and in a team environment
- Adaptable to change in a learning environment
- Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary
Physical Demands: While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision. Employee must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
