What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Manager (Job Code: 1018) position at Dürr Systems Inc.?
Your Tasks:
- Responsible for site activity oversight and coordination of the installation and commissioning of Durr equipment; monitor site activity and oversee site related activities of team members and subcontractors; evaluate subcontractors’ work and provide resulting analysis of site safety and regulation compliance as well as progress reports; responsible for processing customer bulletins and field orders and provide value analysis documentation support to project managers; monitor and coordinate the efforts of assigned subcontractors during the installation phase of Durr’s WetSystems, conveyor technology, and paint finishing equipment, including wet and dry spray booth scrubbers, ovens, pretreatment, e-coat systems, wastewater, reverse osmosis, and ion-exchanger systems; inform the Senior Installation Manager and/or Project Manager of events and progress of activities related to the various bid packages being supervised; serve as principal contact for assigned subcontractors; monitor and enforce compliance to schedule, budget, quality, scope of work, and specifications; participate in and support the site safety program as well as Durr’s quality program; supervise and monitor site clean-up activities; receive and approve completed contractor daily reports, and resolve any special comments or problems; coordinate the resolution of minor installation and engineering problems; monitor and report potential financial impacts to the project manager and site manager; utilize MS Project, MS Visio, SAP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, MATLAB, and SolidWorks to perform duties; issue and monitor contractor punch lists for contract completion; participate in project start-up and extend support as required; coordinate the documentation required for subcontractor equipment test and handover; communicate and provide subcontractor equipment information to commissioning personnel; provide weekly schedule progress updates to the planning department and/or project manager; generate daily reports and conduct internal and subcontractor site coordination meetings; contact clients for site installation activities; provide monthly cost report updates to the project manager; conduct “pre job” walkthroughs with trade councils to deal with any demarcation issues; oversee subcontractor and customer claims; responsible for PCR/CCR documentation and cost development; report and analyze PCR trends; provide project cost analysis, trends, and recommendations to functional departments on PCRs; and provide support during commissioning phase on projects, and at start of pilots and production.

- Salary: $130,000 per year
Your Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: None;
- Other Requirements: Must have completed one (1) academic semester of coursework and/or academic research work which included use of all the following: MS Project, MS Visio, SAP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, MATLAB, and SolidWorks.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
