Position Summary
The Field Service - Sales Specialist for Automotive Paint Shops is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, aftermarket sales, and optimization of robotic automation systems in automotive paint shops. The role involves working on-site at customer locations to ensure efficient operation of robotic equipment and offer solutions to existing customers to provide life-cycle maintenance and improve equipment performance.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Paint and Final Assembly Systems - PFS: paint shops and final assembly systems for the automotive industry
- Application Technology - APT: robot technologies for the automatic application of paint as well as sealants and adhesives Measuring and Process Systems: balancing and cleaning systems as well as testing and filling technology.

- Clean Technology Systems - CTS: exhaust-air purification systems and energy-efficiency technology

The Field Service - Sales Specialist for Automotive Paint Shops is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, aftermarket sales, and optimization of robotic automation systems in automotive paint shops. Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Experience in the Automotive paint / finishing /sealant equipment industry is required
- Develop aftermarket proposals for equipment modifications and refurbishments
- Offer and provide hands-on technical support for Dürr automation equipment
- Offer and provide emergency service and phone support
- Manage consignment cabinet, staging, inventory, repairs, emergency service, deliveries, and equipment health checks
- Test and repair equipment at customer sites
- Submit necessary ad hoc reports for management
- Travel approximately 60% of the time
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- 5 years' experience in a technical sales role
- High verbal and written ability required
- Knowledge of Robotic Paint Processes parts, part numbers, and installations preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Ability to foster a positive work environment that encourages achievement of team objectives, customer satisfaction and company goals
- Able to effectively communicate with service department, suppliers, and customers
- Self-starter who is able to work independently and in a team environment
- Able to technically define problems and propose solutions
- Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary
