About the Position
The Disassembly/Reassembly Technician is key to our Repair Planners discovering concealed damage on vehicles through our thorough disassembly process. Concluding the repairs of the vehicle the Technician will then reassemble the vehicle. Working together as a team, the Technician will assist the Repair Planner in writing a complete estimate for repairs and putting back together the vehicle to be delivered. Our ideal candidate is someone who is highly driven to learn and will want to advance within the company.
This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 7:45 am - 5:00 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. The Disassemble/Reassemble Technician will report to the Collision Center Manager and pay will commensurate with the chosen candidate's experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Pre-scanning of vehicle
- Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical/hydraulic window operating equipment, body panels, trim, and any other parts needed
- Micro bagging of all hardware and small parts
- Building and organization of parts cart according to company standards
- Taking photos of complex wire routing, component assembly, and trim/emblem location
- Reassemble vehicles that have completed repairs
- Light body repairs as needed
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Tools to disassemble and reassemble vehicles
- Understanding of automobiles
- At least 1 year of Automotive shop experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check

Physical Requirements
- Periodic lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds
- Reaching above and below shoulder level
- Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs
- Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment
- May be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion
- May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust and noise in repair center
