About the Position
The Repair Planners / Estimators at D&S Automotive lead the team that disassembles vehicles, thoroughly inspects them for damage, and properly documents all damage. The Repair Planner / Estimator's conclusions will then be made into an estimate and submitted to the insurance company or the customer for permission.
This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 7 : 45 am - 5 : 30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. The Repair Planners / Estimator will report to the Production Manager and pay will commensurate with the chosen candidate's experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead disassembly of vehicles and manage all documentation of damage by utilizing our estimating system and taking digital photos
- Assist in establishing a realistic repair plan based on parts' delivery dates and current shop volume
- Create an estimate for repairs
- Explain repair process, parts used for repairs, and expectations for repairs to the customer
- Work with the Parts Department to acquire needed parts to complete repair
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
