Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a dynamic dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest experiences by delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our commitment to fine dining.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus, providing detailed descriptions of menu items.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using Aloha POS or similar systems.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while adhering to food safety standards.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests with their selections.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in the dining area, including tables, utensils, and overall ambiance.
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple tables and ensure all guests receive prompt attention.
- Additional responsibilities include bussing/setting tables, preparing salads and the salad bar, brewing tea and coffee, cutting bread, sweeping, mopping, and consistently maintaining a clean environment for customers as well as servers work spaces both during and at the end of a shift
- Proper presentation of oneself and attire is necessary
It would be a bonus if one has bartending experience that adheres to North Carolina state laws.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Excellent guest relations and customer service skills, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons.
- Proficient time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain health standards in the restaurant environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
