Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage the flow of guests entering the restaurant, including seating arrangements and waitlist management.
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Assist in managing reservations using the restaurant's POS system, preferably Aloha POS.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to enhance guest relations.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
