Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable.
- Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Accurately enter orders into the POS system and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Manage cash register transactions, including handling payments and providing change as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests effectively.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards while handling food and beverages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Uphold fine dining etiquette and service standards throughout the shift.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high service quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Server in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant is preferred.
- Strong math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Proficient in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
- A positive attitude with strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
