Speech-Language Pathology Program - Assistant Professor

Summary: 

D’Youville University’s Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program invites applications for a 12-month faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor. We are seeking dynamic candidates who are passionate about teaching and committed to advancing the field of speech-language pathology. 

Responsibilities:
  • Teach across the SLP graduate curriculum and advise students.
  • Contribute to curricular design and overall program development.
  • Engage in service to the university, school, program, and community.
  • Participate in scholarship and professional development activities.
  • Provide clinical supervision and/or assist in program development within the on-campus Health Professions Hub.

Requirements:

  • Earned Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts on campus.

Preferred: 

  • Doctorate in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a closely related field (PhD or EdD) or Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD). Candidates in the final stages of their doctoral program are encouraged to apply.
  • A record of teaching, service, and scholarship.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in New York.
  • Experience with interprofessional collaborative education/practice, innovative learning platforms, pedagogical methodologies, accreditation and certification standards, grant writing, and research development.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annually

The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
