- A D1 Coach must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1’s members Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams, by: Exhibiting passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
- Starting and finishing workouts on time
- Assessing and aligning each member with the proper program
- Building and maintaining relationships with each D1 member
- Coaching group workouts, personal training, and teams
- Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
- Teaching proper form and technique and keeping all our athletes safe
- Leadership: Hire, manage, mentor, and develop a team of coaches to deliver high-quality training sessions.
- Program Execution: Oversee and implement D1 Training programs, ensuring consistency and adherence to our training methodologies.
- Coaching: Lead training sessions for youth, scholastic, and adult programs, providing motivation, proper instruction, and individualized attention to members. Minimum of 30 hours/week coaching between group and PT.
- Client Relations: Build strong relationships with members and their families, ensuring exceptional customer experience.
- Sales & Growth: Collaborate with the General Manager to support member retention, drive new memberships, and promote community involvement.
- Facility Management: Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of all equipment and training areas.
- Scheduling: Create and manage the coaching schedule to ensure proper staffing for all classes and training sessions.
- Has a valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification.
- Certified Personal Trainer or Strength & Conditioning Coach certification (e.g., NASM, CSCS, ACE, ISSA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of coaching or personal training.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of strength and conditioning principles
- Exceptional leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Prior leadership or management experience preferred.
- Former experience as an athlete is a plus
