At D2 Consulting, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Microsoft Systems Engineer to be part of our dynamic engineering and operations support team. What You'll Do: As a Microsoft Systems Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations while tackling exciting technical challenges. You’ll design, manage, and maintain Windows-based Active Directory Forests and Domains. Your focus will be on automating tasks through PowerShell scripting, optimizing systems, and ensuring everything runs smoothly across the enterprise.
In this role, you'll:
- Engineer Solutions: Design and define system architecture for new or existing systems, tackling everything from Active Directory management to Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DHCP, DNS, and PKI configuration.
- Automate & Innovate: Leverage your expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation tools to streamline processes, reduce manual efforts, and ensure reliability.
- Support & Optimize: Provide ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M) support throughout the IT project lifecycle. You’ll refine requirements, create design documentation, installation instructions, and deployment plans, and ensure everything meets the highest standards.
- Handle Complex Challenges: Collaborate with teams to engineer geographically dispersed services, integrate solutions into public, private, and hybrid cloud environments, and ensure everything is security hardened to meet SCAP compliance.
- Ensure System Performance: Participate in system modeling, simulation, and analysis to ensure the performance and functionality of your systems meet or exceed expectations. You'll also be responsible for identifying and solving system problems.
- Lead & Mentor: Provide guidance to less-experienced engineers, offering your expertise to help them grow and succeed.
- A strong background in Windows-based Active Directory management and deep understanding of GPOs, DHCP, DNS, and PKI.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and task optimization.
- Experience with MECM/MCM, AGPM, DFS, WSUS, Intune, MDT, MSIX, and App-V is highly desirable.
- A passion for problem-solving and a proven track record of delivering engineering solutions throughout the IT project lifecycle, from design to deployment.

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $135-155k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
