D2 Government Solutions provides aviation and administrative support services to various government agencies. Our aviation services include base operations, aircraft flight operations, maintenance, logistical support, training, range support, aerial imaging, and repair operations. We also provide a variety of administrative support services to include mail room, military transition assistance, training, clerical support for identification processing, medical support services, and other similar services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform disassembly, assembly, de-installation, installation, and/or relocation of various types of furniture and equipment, including but not limited to modular systems, case goods, file cabinets, safes, shelving, beds, chairs, and cabinets.
- Work in both interior and exterior locations across different structures, including areas with few to no elevators and multi-level floors.
- Handle and transport items such as modular furniture, partition panels, and other heavy or bulky items, ensuring they are installed fully functional and completed on a daily basis.
- Set up and utilize forklifts, storage trailers, and vehicles for moving large or cumbersome items.
- Protect hallways, door frames, and individual rooms using appropriate padding during installations.
- Ensure proper disposal of all packaging, installation debris, and other waste generated during the project (e.g., dirt, sand, mud, drill dust, etc.).
- Ensure all installation attachments (e.g., to walls, floors, ceilings) and finish trims are installed correctly.
- Level items such as cabinets and work surfaces as needed.
- Work in occupied facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to occupants during installation and relocation activities.
- Safeguard all tools and equipment used during the project, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and guidelines, as well as coordinate all landfill usage and disposal activities as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in furniture installation or moving services preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, work in multi-story structures with limited elevator access, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with handling forklifts, power tools, and other equipment required for furniture and equipment installation.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a military environment and follow instructions provided by the Government's Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
- Must be able to pass background checks and meet any required security clearance requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work on your feet for long hours and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
