D3 is a New York based branch of Diam international, an industry leader in retail displays for prestige and luxury brands. We provide merchandising solutions for all types of distribution. We develop brand projects from A to Z, including consulting, design, production, installation, and in-store services. Project research, development, and manufacturing all happen onsite with support from local and international vendors.
As a Purchasing Agent/Buyer you will be integral to the procurement process, ensuring that our organization acquires goods and services at the best possible prices.

Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
- Review supplies to ensure quality.
- Source new vendors, etc. based on project needs
- Monitor inventory levels
- Keep updated records
- Works closely with Project Managers, Production and Engineering teams
- Coordinates selection of proper packaging for product shipments, etc.
- Logistics- arranges for transport of products and monitors quality/quantity of in-coming materials with warehouse team
Skills
- Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role in the manufacturing industry
- Extensive knowledge of materials used in manufacturing , i.e. metals, acrylics, wood, etc.
- Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions
- Knowledge of market research and purchasing best practices
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Quickbooks and/or EPICOR a big plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong analytical mindset
- Outstanding organizational skills

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
