Position Overview :
Our client is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join their team and play a pivotal role in establishing and optimising manufacturing processes at their Twinsburg, Ohio facility. This site handles light assembly, order fulfilment, and labour-intensive operations. The role is designed to focus on process improvement, facility layout, supply chain support, and the implementation of quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Manufacturing Setup and Optimisation :
- Develop and implement efficient facility layouts, workflows, and processes to enhance production.
- Design and improve jigs, fixtures, and assembly tools.
- Support quality control initiatives and quality management systems.
Supply Chain and Inventory Support :
Work with suppliers to optimise packaging, logistics, and inventory management.Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain and improve existing systems.Productivity and Innovation :
Drive productivity improvements through innovative process enhancements.Prepare for the integration of automation tools, such as tabletop robots, in the future.Cross-Functional Support :
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure scalability and support organisational growth.Adapt to various responsibilities in a start-up environment, contributing to diverse projects.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.3-5 years of relevant experience preferred (exceptional internship or co-op experience may be considered for 1-2 years of experience).Career growth potential limits candidates to a maximum of 5-7 years of experience.Proficiency in manufacturing process optimisation, facility design, and quality management systems.Innovative mindset with a focus on productivity improvement.Preferred Characteristics :
Hands-on experience in light industrial manufacturing.Familiarity with lean manufacturing processes.Knowledge of supply chain and inventory optimisation.Open to working in a dynamic, start-up environment with a flexible attitude towards evolving needs.Reporting Structure :
The position initially reports to the Operations and Engineering lead, with potential future reporting to the Manufacturing Manager as the team grows.
Salary Range :
65,000 - $85,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
