Mail Inserting Operator

Position Overview

The Mail Inserting Operator will operate and maintain letter and flat envelope-inserting equipment to produce mail-ready products that meet client specifications. This entry-level role suits individuals with a strong attention to detail and a desire to grow within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Bell & Howell Swing-Arm inserting equipment and associated metering and bindery equipment.
• Set up equipment according to documented job specifications.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure final products meet established standards.
• Complete required documentation, including production logs, postage records, and quality control reports.
• Utilize tracking software to ensure 100% accuracy and report any discrepancies to the Inserting Department Supervisor.
• Assist with hand-inserting tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Be available to work one mandatory overtime week per month, which may include shifts up to 10–12 hours, six days a week.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: No prior experience required; training provided.
• Basic computer and keyboard proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions in English.
• Physically capable of standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive tasks.
