About this role: Fixed Income Strategy is seeking to fill one Analyst position to expand strategic support for corporate and public entity clients. The Strategy team provides custom solutions for institutional fixed income investors utilizing portfolio analytics, balance sheet and cash management consultation, investment strategies and market intelligence. In this role, you will: The Analyst will split their time between two work streams: A) supporting senior strategists in producing various analytical reports, data analysis and aggregation and B) developing inhouse python applications to increase efficiency/revenue opportunities and decrease risk. The job requires the ability to work quickly and accurately with large amounts of data, and to present the results in a clear and concise format. The Analyst will participate in a collaborative process of generating ideas, developing tools, sharing market intelligence, and reviewing peer work product. This is a client-facing role that requires partnership with internal team members across multiple departments to provide best in class service. The successful candidate will: Assemble, maintain and analyze large amounts of data to identify trends and themes Maintain knowledge of current market events, especially those which impact the front-end of the fixed income market Create power point presentations for specific product offerings as well as in response to client requests Develop and maintain python coding solutions for existing applications and new development projects designed to drive revenue opportunities with Fixed Income Strategy and Sales/Trading Analyze fixed income products and identify cross sector and intra-sector relative value Run client portfolio analytics and analyze client portfolios Interact closely with fixed income sales and trading at all levels and across all products CIB trades Create deliverables as directed for client requests Assist in the creation of fixed income thematic pieces on instruments CIB trades, especially instruments in which corporate and public entity clients are active Utilize third party and internal analytical systems to optimize client analytic requests Enhance the suite of offerings for internal and external constituents Required Qualifications: 6 months of Securities Strategies experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including excel based-fixed income modeling, pivot tables, data aggregation/sorting, PowerPoint presentations, and Word document group writing and editing Developing knowledge of fixed income markets and products is required. Products include, but not limited to, treasuries, agency debt, money market funds, mortgage-backed securities, corporates, commercial paper, and municipals. Proficiency in SQL, VBA, SharePoint, or other data visualization applications including tableau and QlikView are also beneficial.
